:: an upgrade to google’s coverage of the web ::

April 12, 2008 By: admin Category: google, search engine No Comments →

I read a post from the Google Webmaster central Blog regarding some advancement of Google’s search functionality.

Here’s an excerpt of what

Google is constantly trying new ideas to improve our coverage of the web. We already do some pretty smart things like scanning JavaScript and Flash to discover links to new web pages, and today, we would like to talk about another new technology we’ve started experimenting with recently. read more about Crawling to HTML Forms.

I think this will make SEO better. So for webmasters out there. IMHO, even naming forms would be part of your SEO if in case you want to to be crawled by Google’s spider.

But i guess there’a also a downside for this. What if website’s form contains a list of 1500 vendors and google will crawl into that website. So that’s 1500 pages with non-related content if the googlebot willspider on that right?

Another thing, some might be worried about the integrity of their data if google bot can spider through some of their analytical data inside their site.

Well whatever the result of this will be, we’ll find out.
