:: Failed to install MyBlogLog widget ::

April 11, 2008 By: admin Category: Uncategorized, widgets No Comments →

I’m currently customizing my blog right now. I registered with MyBlogLog so I can put a widget in my page. Unfortunately, it’s not working. I already tried removing the widget, deactivating it and manually deleting and reuploading the mybloglog_wp_2.php file. It has wasted my 1 and a half hour time figuring out how to make it work. It seems that there is a bug between this widget and my theme. I am not really sure. I too tired to figura out how to fix it. Everytime I insert the javascript code in the mybloglog widget and click on change, it erases it and nothing is appearing in my right sidebar. This is disappointing, I never expect that this is taking too much of my precious time. I guess I’ll just test that later on. I tried to check their support page and no troubleshooting step article available for this kind of issue. I guess I’m done for the day. I’ll rest for now. It’s just bad that I git frustrated installing that plugin.

::Tutorial : How to create or generate a crash log in Flash Player 9 ::

April 11, 2008 By: admin Category: Flash Player, simple tutorial No Comments →

Here’s a simple tutorial on how to generate a crash log in Flash Player 9.

1. Open notepad (or another text file editor)

2. Create a text file with one line:

CrashLogEnable=1

3. Save the file as:

c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\mms.cfg

Note: it must be called mms.cfg as mms.cfg.txt will not work.

4. Generate a crash in the browser and record all URLs open at the time (windows or tabs)

5. Open up a command line prompt. (From the Start Menu choose Run… then type cmd in the dialog.

6. Type cd “Local Settings\Temp” at the command line prompt. Make sure that you enclose the Local Settings in quotation marks.

7. Type dir *.mdmp at the command line prompt.  The files returned are the log files that we need. It might be easier to copy these files to your user’s desktop using Windows Explorer.

Hope this helps. :)

An Announcement I received regarding Adobe Media Player.

Adobe Media Player (AMP) is a next-generation desktop media player and management application. It provides high quality video playback of streamed, downloaded, or locally stored Internet TV shows and video podcasts. Users can subscribe to Internet television shows and other online video content, have them download automatically in the background, and later view them on demand. AMP’s user interface optimizes the user experience, allowing users to easily enjoy finding and viewing their favorite shows.

We need you to spread the news about this new and exciting free product!

AMP represents a tool that is not only important to consumers, but publishers who want to monetize advertisements. The last couple of months we have been working very hard to get the top broadcasters signed to provide content through AMP. We have successfully signed CBS, MTV and Food Network as just a few that will be part of our launch. Below are some of the key things that you and your friends and family will enjoy:

Some Features:

- All of your favorite content, all in one place. Create your own personalized catalog of television shows, movies, podcasts – even include videos from your local hard drive.
- Discover new content. Adobe Media Player features a broad catalog of shows from the leading media companies and networks, as well as independent producers.
- Watch what you want, when you want – anytime, anywhere. Adobe Media Player supports both online and offline viewing.
- High-quality audio and video. HD-quality video is supported in Adobe Media Player, even at full-screen resolutions.
- Simple user interface. Adobe Media Player is designed to be intuitive and easy to use.
- Let content come to you. Adobe Media Player automatically downloads new episodes of shows or podcasts that you subscribe to.

Download Adobe Media Player

Make sure that you install the “Air runtime” first before you visit and download the AMP. ;-)
Peace
Sid
